Sunday, March 1st - Lane Creek Cleanup & Fraser River
Thanks to all of our volunteers and the Dawoodi Bohra community who led this cleanup. This is part of the Bohra's Turning the Tide initiative - a global drive to eliminate single-use plastic and rid bodies of water of plastic pollution. It is also a registered Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. We successfully cleared 563 pounds of debris, scrap metal and recycling from the creek and river. Great job everyone!

MESS (AGM) Annual General Meeting -
To comply with the recommendations made by the Government of Canada to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and its guidelines for social distancing, we are cancelling our AGM on March 25th, 2020. Although, we will still hold an Annual General Meeting sometime this year, it will be postponed until a later date.
We wish to encourage all of our volunteers and community to stay safe.

Mission Mill Pond & Dewdney Trunk Road Cleanup
Start Earth week off with what will probably be our largest community cleanup of the year. Last year our volunteers cleared 2000 pounds in less then 3 hours! Although, DTR is a roadway, it travels through a sensitive forested & riparian area of Mission that has a concentration of litter caused by fly-away garbage from traffic to the landfill. There are also numerous illegal dumping sites along the way. We will need as many helping hands as possible. Meet us at the MESS Tent at Mission Mill Pond. Sign-in starts as early as 9:30 AM. Cleanup will end at 2PM at the latest as that is when we haul the debris to the landfill.
